What is Tai Chi Gung?
Tai Chi Gung is a holistic approach to wellness, peace of mind, grounding and vitality that integrates mind, body, and spirit in a way that’s accessible to everyone, regardless of age, fitness level, or background.
Over 3,000 years ago the yoga master Lao Tzu developed this gentle, simple yoga practice after 50+ years of meditation. He wanted to perfect this regenerative art that became known as Tai Chi Gung. He discovered the secret of health and longevity by immersing himself in nature.
This practice is designed to connect students to the life force in nature through a balanced breath and simple, standing and gentle flowing movements. Lao Tzu knew from his Siddhi yoga roots that breathing chi, or prana, brings the life force of nature into the physical body.

"I'm Carrie Murray. Being a student of meandering the river of life has taken me many places. I’ve had the adventure of raising 3 boys, and I am also a gardener and a seeker. Along the way, I discovered I like to teach. I have been a personal trainer since 2002.
In 2020 my latent interest in Chi Gung led me to discover a gentle yoga (yoked with the divine) practice called Tai Chi Gung. It combined my love of the earth, my drive to learn deeper truth, my teaching skills, and my choice to take good care of my physical body. Tai Chi Gung can be translated to mean Grand, Supreme Energy for the Body Temple. It can also mean, Give Power to Peace.
I have learned there is a Tai Chi Gung way to do everything. This is what I am here to learn, practice and teach. I have discovered a depth and confidence in myself I did not expect. Daily practice continually expands my understanding about what being human really means. You will discover you are more than you think you are.

Can I Join a Class Anytime?
Lao Tzu created a series of warm ups and 4 basic Standing Exercises that are the core of every class. These are simple moving and breathing exercises that help students feel the life energy of Nature directly.
Almost 90% of students feel it in their very first class.
Whether you have been studying 6 minutes, 6 months or 6 years, you do the simple movements you learned in your very first class. They serve as an outline, and each student connects in their own way.
Because we don't hold back exercises, and they remain consistent, new students can join a live class any time. You'll feel right at home!
What Should I Wear?
Comfortable street clothes are fine. The class is done standing up, and it's so gentle you won't break a sweat!
